Beginners Guide for Hygienic Campout

Beginners Guide for Hygienic Campout

Camping is the ideal getaway because you can tailor your trip to fit your needs, wants and level of experience. Whether you're seeking a comforting, woodsy retreat or an adrenaline-fueled escape, you can find it in camping. The stylish way to learn to camp is to jump right in and try. You may encounter many bumps along the road, but it's important to remember that no camping trip ever goes exactly as planned. As long as you know the camping basics, the rest will come to help you grow each time you embark on another trip.

As you know what you need during an ideal campout, let me tell you what you need for a hygienic campout!!

Here are a few tips that you can use to make an eco-friendly getaway.

  • Pack Out Trash and Recycle

The easiest way to make an impact is by sorting your waste. You must bring at least two reusable trash bags, one for trash and one for recycling, you could even consider bringing one for compost. If your campground or trailhead doesn’t have compost or recycling, take it home and make sure your waste is properly disposed of. And don’t forget these often-overlooked facts:

  • Aluminium cans are not OK to burn (they are air and soil pollutants when burned and leave a lot of unhealthy residue) Source: Campfire safety, Our past times
  • Fruit peels take a long time to biodegrade (banana skins takes up to two years), use only sustainable and eco-friendly products. Source: Composthq

  • Take rechargeable batteries

We have often seen empty battery packs just left near the camping sites, which if eaten by any wild animal can cause its death; simply leaving this leads to a chunk of waste on the beautiful sites. To avoid creating unnecessary waste, consider using rechargeable batteries, or even getting products that can be recharged by the sun.

  • Use Agro Composites

Agro composites have ergonomically designed and engineered products that are made from 100% authentic Himalayan Pine Needles and Displaces plastic and also, reduce carbon emission in nature. They have a wide range of products from plates and bowls to toothbrushes and mobile stands, they have it all.

  • Use, Rent, Repair

Before buying a new piece of gear, consider buying used gear, renting your gear or repairing the gear you do have. This will contribute to lowering the impact on the ecological environment.

  • Buy organic food

Organic agriculture is easier on the environment than traditional agriculture. Traditional agriculture uses synthetic fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides that can be harmful to the environment. So, if you’re buying dehydrated food with us or shopping at your local grocery store for food to make yourself, consider going organic.

These were a few tips that you can use for a greener and no bad-trace camping. Also, don’t forget to miss out on Agro Composites, All of their products are Food Safe and BPA free, tested as per United States’ FDA standards as well the European Union’s LFGB codes. You can shop them here.

Happy camping folks!!

4 Simple Swaps for a Plastic-free Daily Life

4 Simple Swaps for a Plastic-free Daily Life

While plastic has many valuable uses, we have become addicted to single-use or disposable plastic — with severe environmental consequences. We produce over 300 million tonnes of plastic waste every year, that’s equivalent to the weight of the entire Human Population. We need to slow the flow of plastic at its source, but we also need to improve the way we manage our plastic waste. Because right now, a lot of it ends up in the oceans contributing to Ocean pollution, depletion of water life and ultimately, exhaustion of flora and fauna.

If you’re just starting on your plastic-free, zero-waste journey—or are somewhere in the middle of things—We can help you with one of the easiest places to make a significant change.

  • Biodegradable Toothbrush

Twenty billion plastic toothbrushes are disposed of every single year and Agro Composites wants to reduce that number with their minimalist sustainable authentic Himalayan Pine needles toothbrush which is cruelty-free.

  • Ecofriendly and stylish Coffee mugs and Sippers

We decided to do something about it.

We decided to do something about it.

We actually came up with sustainable products made from pine needles. We started off with tableware, but now we have graduated to oral hygiene with our newest line of toothbrushes.

Now, as we mentioned earlier, it isn’t any toothbrush. This toothbrush has special powers.

We’ll start with the obvious ones. Our toothbrush is biodegradable. And who doesn’t love eco-friendly products? Our toothbrush comes right from the arms of swaying trees and provides you with the perfect start to your brand new day. Also, if you concentrate hard enough, you can literally gauge the faint smell of pine forest while brushing your teeth every single day.

Now time for the real cracker!

Vasshin’s toothbrush is hydrophilic. And if you’re not a science nerd, and don’t know what this means, it basically means that our brush loves water! And this property of our product makes the brush susceptible to damage with over usage of water. So the more you exploit water, the more you decrease the life of your brush. Essentially, it will act as a constant reminder for you to conserve water.

And if you use water ideally, you will be rewarded with the perfect life of your toothbrush of 3 months as recommended by IDA (Indian Dental Association).  This way you also get a reminder to take care of your oral hygiene by getting a periodic reminder to change your toothbrush. The IDA also recommends brushing gently, no more than thrice a day. So as appealing as scrubbing your teeth out of all its enamel sounds, it can damage your gums and cause them to recede. Using our toothbrush lightly, twice a day you will avoid any bleeding or abrasion.

Summarising everything, this toothbrush is just a simple and smart solution to water wastage problems and the first step to reducing your plastic footprint. So isn’t our toothbrush a life-saver (literally)? So don’t wait any longer and get yours today!
